I don't know if that guy is representative of most Catholics. It seems the ones you run into are somewhat ignorant in many respects about their own beliefs, and are simply reacting to protestant theology; at least from what I can tell.
Typically, Alexander is one of the biggest boors around, but he seems to have "repented" for this one thread at least, and has asked for a cease fire on the insults.
